Vaishnavi welfare and Charitable trust was created with an intention to intervene in malnourishment of children through our ancient science of Ayurveda. A dedicated team works towards supplying milk with the goodness of Ayurveda medicine ‘Ashwagandhadhi’on a daily basis. According to the National Family Health study published in February 2016, amongst children under the age of 5, the following observations were made. These figures are alarming when we consider that these children will be India’s future. Malnutrition in children is the consequence of a range of factors that are often related to poor quality of food, insufficient food intake, and repeated infectious diseases, or frequently a combination of the three. These conditions, in turn, are closely linked to the overall standard of living such as access to food, housing and health care. While consulting Dr.P.L.T Girija in Chennai it was understood that Ayurveda has a holistic approach in addressing malnourishment.
Vaishnavi trust helps to alleviate malnourishment through Ayurveda principles with the support of Ayurveda doctors thereby helping the common man rediscover the ancient wisdom.
